can't find a way to heart you twice for that.

uhhh, some of those Leia moves had a distinct Kristin Wig vibe...

was that another movie with the super human? superman or iron man or hulk or something?

Well friend these are not your run of the mill crumbly rocks. When you want to pull a chunk of rock off of a bigger rock, well then they are nice and crumbly. But when you want hit a giant furry beast in the side of the head with that same crumbly rock, then all of a sudden, well, its hard as a rock.

There aren't aliens on mars. Except for John Carter. The other guys are not aliens. They were born there. Right on the crumbly rocks.

yeah, but that does not explain why the stone breaks so readily. The gravity may be less, but that does not make the stone weak.

The white apes were not giants in the book, near the beginning JC and Woola fight off a pair of them, but they were not much bigger than woola.

shud'v used the pown your assonaut app. damn.

which in my book opens the door to all sorts of Q-ey goodness.

Resistant to nerve pinch, troubling the crew, english accent. Why of course - its Trelane!

Or an Allasaurus perhaps, but the raised claw on the foot definitely says raptor

I really can't get enough of this show, I should know, I built this show...

Really, and you have to understand them on those terms to grasp the character of Tars Tarkas.

I don't think so. I just read the book and I found it very relatable. The best part about it was it was written so long ago, its like a period piece and science fiction at the same time. Its relatable in the same way a Jane Austin novel is.

its true, they are pushing these "epic" scenes, and not the story. There is supposed to be a love story there, tangled up in the political/racial conflicts. You just got to hope that is only the marketing that's a mess, and not the whole movie.

Judging from the trailers I'd say the marketing for this movie has been more like Transformers.

I'm afraid that this trailer is better than the movie. Chances are that they've made as big a mess of the story as their trailers suggest. I mean Deja Thoris didn't pick up a weapon in the whole first book. Or second for that matter. So why is she suddenly running around with sword here. She was never a warrior

but Warlord was the second book. To capture the series, and the original book it should have been John Carter and the Princess of Mars.

The should have marketed it like a classic pulp - more like Raiders, less like Star Wars. The book was so much more about the fighting, and many sword fights where swordsmanship was really important. It could have dipped into martial arts culture there a bit too.

All that and no mention that the Sun has a snow man face on it. Now who did that and left it like that..?Hmmm?
