Based on Parks and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, I expect The Good Place to not be that great the first 5 episodes, and then become awesome and stay that way.
I cried a lot more than I was expecting (the "straight line . . . arrow" line set me off). I hope the Machine lets Shaw and Fusco know that Finch is OK. And I fully support a "Her"-style spinoff.
This episode threaded the fine line between comedy and tragedy.
