Most frightening sentence I've read in weeks that didn't contain the words "ISIS" or "Donald Trump."

Carrie's done ads before, though—way back when she was in a few Priceline ads with William Shatner. I think there was an American Express ad as well? (and don't forget she also worked in advertising briefly)
I don't watch The Flash or Arrow. But I do think it's significant for a show with a female lead to sometimes have the male characters in more of a supporting role.
I would give this episode a solid B, mostly for the CatCo plot. But I also continue to enjoy how the show upends gender roles by having James and Winn be the ones talking about emotions and relationships.
And also Cat is clearly very smart. It would be absurd if she never figured things out.
Those really were good child actors in the Star Wars sketch. One of them looked like a little Andy Samberg. Well, littler.
Xavier/Tom really should not have left the cul-de-sac.
Oh my God, I just realized why I like Ravi so much. He's Ben Wyatt!
Seconding the Astrid spinoff. I like how she and Carrie work together.
What has Rupert Friend done to deserve such torture? Either let Peter live in some peace or kill him off with dignity.
Silas Weir Mitchell did do a guest spot on Portlandia a couple seasons ago, but sadly not as Monroe.
I just wanted to know where Carrie and Fred were.
I need reasons to tell people, "That's a total whore line."
I always enjoy a flashback to 1970s Holt.
And clearly Eddie was not reading SPIN.
Yeah, I find the holiday disaster/family meanness combo very uncomfortable to watch.
Vs was not the latest release by Pearl Jam at that point. That came out in 1993. Vitalogy was 1994 . The most recent release would have been Mirror Ball with Neil Young. #pearljampedantry
Darn, I didn't remember that! Well, one crotch grab is still pretty restrained for Carrie.
At least there's Saul.
Quinn's storyline has become comic relief, in a really dark way. I nearly started laughing during that fight.
