It runs, and its under $3k. Why the hell not. I’d build it into an off-roader so I could constantly say “No, its not a Rover, its Laforza” and then launch into an automotive history lesson that no one cares about.

Not a lawyer, but I feel like there’s some sort of wide-sweeping interstate commerce and/or restraint of trade legal argument to be made at the federal level, that would do away with states’ ability to force new car sales through dealerships.

But as a Texan god damn Texas wine sucks.

It still looks fresh today.

Thanks for reminding me that I need to start working “ratfuck” into my vernacular.

We need to get something else straight here.

I’m basically a Tesla hater but fuck Michigan. This direct dealer ban is restraint of trade and racketeering.

I am surprised to see New Mexico on the list. We have thousands of people qualified to work on High Voltage Systems. Hell, if you take too long of a vacation when you get back you will find your home completely stripped of copper by a brave sole that cut the live power line to your house

Shit, I’m closing on my first house purchase this Friday and the process has been more straightforward than buying my first new car. Bring on the death of the dealership model swiftly!

Once you drive shifter carts with a gasoline motor, you will never feel the same about run-of-the-mill carts or even electric carts. In fact, everything starts to feel quite synthetic at that point. If you’ve never driven a vehicle that speaks to all your senses, you will never know what the fuss is all about. The

The status quo dealership model exists so employees that work there can earn a living wage. Take that away and wages and quality of service go down to minimum wage fast food levels. That’s the difference between a domestic dealership and a high line brand.

As a prisoner of Michigan, you sir, get a star

Specifically Michiganders, who are not much more than petulant children with fully-grown adult bodies.

So lets get this straight here.

More than anything they are doing, I respect Tesla most for this. The dealership model totally blows, everyone knows it. Let the past die, kill it if you have to.

Drivers’ cars should have manual transmissions. It is hard to argue against that point.

There is an indefinable charm about a friendly-looking performance car.
