YES—She and You Just May Be the One are among my favorites! I also love Laugh and Take a Giant Step (just lovely).

I saw them during that tour and it was my first concert, too! I wish I could have seen the show in LA where Mike joined them onstage….

I agree that the ending was forced, with Jessica switching from Audrey to Allison so easily. But I enjoyed the episode overall, especially the details with the oranges and the shoe-removal. And Reba reciting Bel Biv Devoe for the win—she steals every scene she's in.

Favorite songs of his: "Raspberry Beret," "Kiss," "Take Me With U"
Favorite song written for someone else: "Nothing Compares 2 U"
RIP—I feel so grateful to have had his music and his presence in my life.

I agree! I especially liked how this film captured the Oedipal aspects of the Pan story without feeling exploitative. Jason Isaacs was fantastic as both Hook and Mr. Darling, and you saw why Wendy's feelings for Hook would be complicated.

After seeing it recommended in another thread, I sought out and watched both series of The Detectorists, with Mackenzie Crook and Toby Jones, about a club of metal detector enthusiasts. Took a couple episodes to get into it, but I ended up loving it. The acting is subtle and the characters endearing, but I think the

Saw Prince at the Oracle Arena on Friday. Just him and his piano—it was gorgeous and electrifying. If you get the chance to see him on this tour (if and when he announces more dates), DO IT.

And, along with BJ Novak, the Cornell reference made me think of "The Office," and how Andy Bernard would always refer to his Cornell degree and his beloved acapella group.

Aarrrgh, I'll be out of town the day they come through my area. So glad they're back though. Hopefully they'll play "Bowie's in Space" on this tour, in honor of that "freaky old bastard" and his nipple antennae.
I've actually been thinking a lot about FOTC lately; I feel like their HBO show was really influential,

Janeane Garofalo. (I WISH I could be as cool as she is.)

But now that she's no longer interested in Eddie, I think she could be an interesting recurring character. I like how all of the kids we've met at Eddie's middle school are quirky and not stereotypical.

“Tell the firemen I know how busy they are and I’m sorry!”
Aww, I love Eddie's school friends—Trent was adorable there. And I liked Reba—she's confident and smart; they should bring her back in future episodes.

My handle is actually taken from the name of one of their songs. Other songs I like: "This Too Shall Pass," "Needing/Getting," "Invincible," "Get Over It," "What to Do," "I'm Not Through," among others. They're a lot of fun live, too.

While Moffat's overall tenure was sometimes frustrating, the highs were fantastic. Certain episodes will stay with me forever (and I can't say that about any non-Moffat episodes under RTD's run, except "Human Nature/The Family of Blood"). Still, I'm okay with Moffat leaving, as "regeneration" is in the nature of the

In addition to honoring Bowie on FOTC, Bret also did a pretty good cover of "Ziggy Stardust" with the Wellington International Ukelele Orchestra: https://www.youtube.com/wat…

"Ziggy Stardust"
"Life on Mars"
"The Man Who Sold the World"
"Under Pressure"
"Modern Love" (No shame in being an 80's kid.)

I can't believe it. Bowie was a true Renaissance Man, such an inspiration. It just seemed like he'd live forever. I'm stunned.

This discussion of "authorship" is really fascinating to me, especially for works that have a clear author but are in the public domain. For instance, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is a big example of how an author's work takes on a life of its own (like a monster—or a child, which is what Victor's monster really was)

I've been a casual viewer of Moffat's Sherlock, so I've only watched each episode once. I have a question about Mary—I remember that she was revealed to be a killer in S3, but John decides not to look into her past and stays with her. I'm hazy on whether Sherlock still likes her/trusts her. If the Victorian
