Interesting question. Was it the popularity of the plays that allowed his sonnets to survive? I'm sure someone has a theory on that, but it seems that if he had only written the sonnets they probably still would have made it out of the era.

Many, many of the complaints are artistic. I'd say a majority.

Remove the mop-sized paintbrush from thy hand when referring to a particular OP, then.

Yes, but "being based on" is not the same as a movie remake with the same title. I don't see how one can put the two together with a magic hand-wave.

OK, I'm officially calling bullshit on this PLAYS AND OPERAS ARE REMAKES EVERY TIME THEY ARE STAGED theory. They are not. And giving the old WHICH GEEK HAS TWO THUMBS AND GETS SHAKESPEARE MORE THAN YOU GEEKS? THIS GUY! bit is even worse.

Please note the difference between "remakes are the end of everything" and "remakes of a B-movie from 25 years ago are not akin to Shakespeare."

Ah, well, I suppose I stand corrected. In my defense, I have always found Heinlein a bit of a creepy prole.

I cannot be the first nerd to hear them stealing Nick Fury's greatest line to his Howlin' Commandos.

It looks like it will be just one scar. Two or four would be easier than his injury in the book to show on-screen, but would help dictate the

Worst. Episode. Ever.

There are few things I find more annoying than the OH NOES MY DAUGHTER CAN'T DATE thing. Even as a joke, it's not funny, and I honestly don't think it's ever really a joke.

Although this looks good, I mostly abhor prequels. It is actually like people don't have the courage to tell a new story.
