I'm not even sure how to respond to "weak chin" and I can't fathom your scare quotes. The best argument is that she just not might be that good an actress.

Interesting catch - maybe. Anna the elder did get $1.2 billion in assets after that divorce, but I don't recall if there was acrimony involved.
Ah, my mistake.
I have to wonder if Rose Byrne's pitcture deal to play Moira MacTaggart isn't going to preclude her from being the Wasp. Someone's suggestion of Morena Baccarin up top seems pretty good.
I'm sorry, but expelling Wonder Man from the Vision origin for the movies is not going to be much of a loss.
I think the answer here is one word: MONEY. I wonder what the cost would be to start acquiring some of these properties back.
I agree 100,000% of using some - even a significant amount - of the Avengers money to collect some of their characters back into their own fold, film-wise.
That's your compelling, obvious given? Do the same for Ms. Marvel, then.
This is my exact thought on Ms. Marvel.
"I'm going to trust that Whedon is smart enough to know that The Scarlet Witch does not translate to movie audiences or storylines well at all, and that he won't do anything so lame as to try and shoehorn her in."
I just never liked the "really strong, shoots energy" powers, for anyone. But if they are going with Ms. Marvel, they are going to have to fix her ridiculous costume, then.
I vote Scarlet Witch, because then you can add Coulson as an upcoming Vision at the end of the film, setting up a future romance. Although I can see how a Wasp fits in as well, given the possible Hank Pym showing up soon elsewhere. I always found Carol Danvers a great character, but Ms. Marvel to be a pretty lame…
This was an almost astoundingly stupid thing to have written.
I gotta go with Pajiba on this one. You don't need glasses to take that shot.
I loved the Revelation Space series, absolutely hated Absolution Gap, positively adored Pushing Ice (especially the ending), and found House of Suns to be very very good but not particularly unique in the Reynolds catalogue.
I hope you realize that wasn't a comment on YOU liking the book, if it came out that way, I failed utterly. But you do have an idea of what I mean, no? Or no?
Here's my concern about this work, which the awesome review has not necessarily allayed.... Is it just a little too clever by half? You mention "twee", and I'm concerned that it's a young adult book written specifically for adults to read and feel cool about how cool they are to be reading young adult fiction that's…
It sounds like you are more interested in promoting the Whedon Meme than actually interested in Whedon himself.
Wow.
A lot of people were for slavery once, too.
