Kudos for the Reliant Robin reference. Gonna get mad love from the sports-oriented Jalops such as myself.

Home of the real-life Crash Davis, who inspired the character of the same name in Bull Durham, and Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit.
Oh, Gastonia. Don’t ever change.
Eh. Crack Pipe unless you cut the asking price in half. It's amazing that this thing survived, but I'd venture that's a problem easily solved with a piano falling out of nowhere.
I’m sure there are more informed commenters here, but here’s my take:
Auto workers don’t work for the UAW. They are employees of the automobile companies (Fiat-Chrysler, Ford, GM, etc.), but their employment contracts are defined by the negotiation between the employer (automaker) and the union.
Factory sleeper alert!
Um...these remarks are to be made in front of the U.S. Congress, and it was a university in the U.S. that first discovered the emissions cheat. Also, I’m referring to the author’s very astute observation that 243 days went by without action.
Redacted from the prepared script: "I was informed that these discrepancies would likely go unnoticed in what I perceive to be the world's dumbest first world country."
The expressions on both ladies' faces are priceless: "I'm smiling but I'm absolutely terrified! Someone find a pay phone and call my agent!"
I think I may be the two-wheeled Tavarish, because there’s almost no project bike that I look at and don’t immediately think, “shouldn’t be too hard, I could totally make some coin with that.”
I believe you misspelled that...the established meme is #THASRAYCESS.
Several years ago, my brother-in-law (a Michigander) graduated from Coast Guard basic training in Cape May, NJ. My wife and the rest of his Michigander family chose to attend the ceremony in person as a show of support.
I remember him going at it with Jordin Tootoo as a Blue Jacket, and hoping they would just do everyone a favor and knock each other out simultaneously.
A nice 750iL has a 5.4 L V12 that makes 322 ponies (more than double the output of the straight-six diesel) and 361 ft-lbs. of torque, and you don’t have to go searching for diesel pumps.
I like it, but $3k is too much. I'd say $2k would at least be in the realm of reality, especially given the rust situation.
Yeah...not saying I would recommend that, but go figure, the Germans have torque specs for EVERYTHING.
Others have already suggested a torque wrench (or torque adapter, per benh7...never heard of that), but allow me to offer some reinforcement as to why this is important. Two personal stories:
I’ve honestly never heard of a torque adapter, per benh7, but torque wrench should be high on the priority list. Most bolts (oil pan plug, lug nuts, I could go on...) have recommended torque settings. This is an area where a good one (Craftsman is a good place to start) is a must.
I hope this passes, just so we can see which (if any) sports franchises aren't full of jingoist bullshit and actually honor those who truly serve our country - instead of just doing it when paid to do so.
Good on you, Jenson. With the accumulated talent at McLaren and Honda, it seems almost impossible that the team won't make huge leaps forward for next season. I think Button's decision to stay with a team and be a part of the turnaround is very admirable.
