Sort of. Hasbro already owned the Dire Wraiths since Parker Brothers, whom Hasbro bought out, coined the name. Marvel just owned their specific version of the Dire Wraiths and the Spaceknights but not ROM himself because they pretty much created all of ROM’s lore from the ground up for the comic.

Disney’s relationship with Hasbro is even weirder when you look at their relationship by way of Marvel. Back in the 80's Marvel did some toy tie-in comics for different toy companies. Marvel writers Bob Budiansky and Larry Hama helped create the backstories for Transformers and GI Joe respectively.
