The map is so good on its own that I’ve barely felt the need to.  One thing you can always rely on the Metroid series for is a damn good map.

Damn, dude, you are simply very wrong in a very big way. Sit through the credits of a big budget action movie. Dozens and dozens of digital artists will be credited. Do you see any of the actors whining that their work is “undervalued” because the fucking caterer or whatever dared have their name credited?

Pure technicality here, it doesn’t cost “nothing” to make the credits. Someone has to lay them out and type out/copy and paste all the names and jobs, time it with music, etc. Otherwise I agree.

Full-on agree. Even if they lock the post-game EV shop behind BP, it’s preferable to “you get one ice beam ever”. I used to repeatedly play through the entire game in Blue to trade Pokemon over from my Red just to teach them my single Thunderbolt/Ice Beam/Flamethrower and then trade back.
