R’s in japanese have a soft sound anyway compared to english. If you try to do L with a japanese accent it seems to get dragged out with a small L sound at the end. They can do L though, as proven by la la la love song from Long vacation.

It’s a game where you learn to drive a forklift, collect capsule toys, play arcade games and generally do what you want for a year whilst hopefully searching for your father’s murderer. Or you know...you can just forget about that.

A lot of visual novels do this. Voltage inc have the same set of guys in almost every game they make. I like their games but damn mix it up a little once in a while.
