“incompatible for full-frame cameras”
It’s mounted on a 5d mkii, so it seems compatible with full-frame.

The top photo is from a trade show; I assume anyone actually using this lens would have a tripod head that can move the body forward and backwards.
That said, the link to the original article has a photo of the back screen of the camera, and at 1/250th, it doesn’t look like a big blur.

I like the visual, but the sight of a car driving forward a foot, reversing for a foot, going forward a foot, reversing for a foot, going forward for a foot, reversing for a foot, add so on seems a big like the gif above

My car can drive forever on a single tank... as long as it’s connected to a gas pump.

I haven’t read any Apple press releases, but if the above article is any indication, it’s at least a very common misconception* that they had to remove the headphone port to make things waterproof

*even among tech bloggers

Of course it will still have a power button, but if my muscle memory was to reach for the home button, and I had to retrain my brain to reach the the opposite corner of the device, I can imagine I’d get frustrated

I’ve had nothing but Motorola phones with on-screen buttons, but the only argument I can imagine is that until now, you could wake up the iphone by pressing the clicky home button. I can’t do that with an on-screen home button, so if you’re used to waking the phone with that button, it might be annoying.

Part of me wonders if they drug their feet on adding water resistance until now (when they pulled the headphone jack), just so they could use it as an excuse.
“well we *had* to get rid of the headphone jack, or we couldn’t make it waterproof”

Great, now I’m going to see that Dennis-eye-roll-at-the-camera image in my head every time I watch a movie

So, ‘Fallout in Space’?

I love the seatless design

Not trying to humiliate anyone. Just saying I've carried on much larger batteries

Just checking the math, since that seems off. I’ve got a v-lock battery in front of me (which I’ve traveled with several times), that says 14.8v, 5,500mAh, 82wh. So, 14.8x5.5 is 81.4.
5x20 is only 100, or am I missing something?

Or any of the Kmashi ones that are constantly getting pimped in the deals section here. 16,000 mAh for like 12 bucks, and even without quick charge, the 2A port, it charges a phone pretty damn quickly

“hiding a 7,800mAh battery in the zipped lining of the bag”

“click it three times, click it three times, mister (or miss), click it three times and shut it off”

Exactly; I’d much rather have the extra size be optional. Making a 5 inch long lens into a 6 inch lens seems more convenient than making a 1.5 inch deep camera into a 3 inch deep camera.

It's $50-100 for the adapter that lets you use ef lenses. I've used an original eos-m for years, and love that with the 22mm f2, it's super compact, and I can add the flange distance when I want to use another lens

“with a 3D-printer you could churn out the exact tool you need, ready to use, without requiring a run to the hardware store.”

How far away from a hardware store do you need to live for this to be at all useful?
I mean, on some long-distance space expedition (or whatever), it could make sense to be able to create the
