Unlike Trump, Johnson is extremely intelligent and well read and is genuinely witty. Also unlike Trump he seems to really have political ideologies that go beyond just his ego, even though I personally think most of them are morally reprehensible and very bad for his country.

I'm afraid the understanding of a large part of the voters in this referendum isn't much deeper.

Luke, I am thy father.

I've learned quite a bit of DIY skills from my dad, but my greatest talent in this area that I got from him is probably more genetic. It goes like this:

My complete lack of faith is only sustained by all the chalk I see break every day.
No god would allow that.

The technology of counting was not as advanced in those days.

Also, while I understand Mo's rage, I think it's a bit careless of him to smash the one thing god JUST gave him.

I've been described as the most intimidating man in mixed marital arts.

Well as far as I understand it, the way the behaviour of individuals in a slime mold leads to the behaviour of the collective is pretty well understood and can be replicated in simulations. But maybe you mean comprehended on an intuitive level by people, instead of mathematically, in which case you're probably right.

I was leaning towards 'a wizard did it'. But forcefields left in place by some forgotten civilization of godlike beings with unknowable motives, works just as well.

That's been done. I'm not some Larry Niven wannabe.

Oh, there are ways.

I think the TV-adaptation of my epic novel series about technologically advanced octopuses living in an endless ocean on a Möbius strip world orbiting a binary star is going to be great.

Ah, I see. A wizard did it.

Also, he's old.

Star Trek never gets that dark, it doesn't really fit. Except for the rebooted movies, but they don't feel like Star Trek at all to me. And even that is more a gritty look and feel as opposed to the real hard choices and dark themes on BSG. Maybe DS9 had it a little bit, but I haven't seen all of that.

Dammit, I miss Battlestar Galactica. When I saw new reviews up on the site, I thought for a second there was a new season or reboot and my heart skipped a beat.
Although I have no idea how that would work without being lame.

Ooh, ooh! Don't spoil it!
