Yeah, the answer your biology teacher will give you "it keeps them at the right temperature" is hardly satisfactory.

I have to say, I hadn't thought of that. That's what I call a livehack!
I will use this strategy starting next morning. If you don't hear back from me, assume I've arrived on time, have gotten a raise because of it and am in a blissful, glutinous coma from spending it all on supersized Chipotle.
Exactly my point. If hitting the lights is just a matter of chance and the time you gain between two lights is significantly smaller then the cycle of any single light, those few seconds won't matter much and statistically you will gain very little.
So you could say that the amount you gain is proportional to (time…
And if I understand him correctly, this guy just started doing this 'study' during work, without consulting anybody on it and everyone was just too baffled to question it. And he calls it 'following his passion'.
If you gain 5 seconds between two lights, that time is immediately lost if you hit it on red, you just spent the 5s waiting. So you can only gain time by hitting a light on green that would otherwise be red. That will be an infrequent occurrence (and partly counterbalanced by lights you hit on red that would otherwise…
I kept reading fps as frames per second and thought you had gone insane and thought you lived INSIDE the game.
Ceci n'est pas une collection de pixels.
And they better have my baby!
I find day one patches a lot more stomachable than day one DLC or day 10 patches. So they found something to improve between press and release? The fix is right there on the first day you can play. A day 10 patch means 10 days of broken gaming and day one DLC is just a cynical cash grab.
Full chort!

Upvoted for "palinilap".
Few things have angered me more than the stupid flavor texts on Magic cards. One of several childish reasons I've never played that game.
Isn't there some universal translator technology happening to explain it away? We and the human characters hear English, but actually the alien characters speak alien?
Yeah, that would be my broadest definition. When a word has been around since the age of learning language for everyone speaking that language, it can't be considered a neologism. In my opinion words can loose the status a lot quicker when they are widespread and common enough that all or most people don't realize…
It's a gambling/black jack term, that's apparently gaining traction in common usage. I have no time-line for this.
I don't remember much about the Croc parts (some jumping over logs in a flooded basement?), just that I REALLY enjoyed the tension of it.
It sounds like the Tour coverage on US tv is 100x better than the Olympic coverage.
Mind you, my only knowledge about both is solely based on AV-club articles.
You are in Utrecht as well?
My house is in the middle of the course, they will cross my street on both sides. I've been looking forward to this all year.
A "männlicherklärung" or as a verb "männlicherklären".
