This is a fantastic book that goes into this exact problem: We as a society tend to reward extremely shitty behavior so long as said person “gets things done” or at least makes it look like they can. The amount of horror stories about toxic enviroments in work places almost always comes down to incompetent people

Oh yeah this website is about to be swarmed with a bunch of alt-right dickheads whining about “MUH FREE SPEECH” so I might as well get this out of the way:

You absolutely can have discussions and even disagree with aspects of BLM, LBTGQ, and other parts of social issues. There’s nothing wrong with that and bit of

No guys, it’s totally AOC’s fault. You guys...Green Plan.

something something, SOCIALISM IS SCARY!!!

And they’re trying to pass this off as “See this is what happens when you focus on Wind power,” when a quick glance on google tells you there’s a lot more to it. Mainly that Texas was not prepared for this. And any idiot should be able to think that “well, how you could not be prepared with Republicans have had

Nah I don’t think Cruz will ever be president.  He probably has enough support to retain his seat in the senate, but motherfucker will never convince enough people in the country to elect him as president.  He’s too pathetic for that.

White people expect the barest minimum of work for their public officials.  They only thing they want is to ensure that their politicians work to make sure that they can keep what’s theres.  That’s it.

I’m kinda reminded of one scene in that horrid remake of Utopia in which two assassins go to kill one of the main character’s dad, and before they do it, the guy asks if it’s because of some unrelated conspiracy theories that he’s been following. And they said yeah—because why not let him die happy?

I feel like this is

Oh that’s exactly what this is.  Liquid courage, stupidity, and a victim complex is what we’re seeing here.

Hopefully this is the thing he needs to do so he can get a sequel/spin-off off the ground.

what’s stopping you from doing that?

The problem here is that video games companies routinely try to create a gamer culture that establishes a relationship between gamers and developers. Sure, CAPITALISM, but I do frankly believe there is a space within said system in which creatives can figure out a happy medium between genuinely creating art for fans

Christ dude. Like holy shit, to be a fly on a wall in the Cruz family home.

We’re in the “second wind” of Television Drama, so there’s been a lot of emphasis on anti-heroes lately. I’m of the camp that don’t necessarily need a likable character to keep watching, but it also means that the show has to be on point with its story or it’ll just be shitty people being shitty. And that’s boring.

Oh you already know a bunch of right wing trash sites are rushing copy of this very sentiment.

The best I can see from this is now they’re on record, so hopefully smarter people will learn from this bullshit in the future and not repeat it.

I know people are already doing the apocalyptic jive on here, so I’ll be the optimistic one and say that this hurt Republicans far more than it did Democrats. Mostly because it was already set in stone that Trump was going to be acquited, so it’s not as if it was done through any maneuvering from McConnel’s part.

But

Yup. Too many people think they’re just gonna get that winning ticket that grants them a billion dollars, or shack up with someone who’ll give them all the money.

Right. Because it allows them to “belong.” In his mind, “he’s made it.”  And like all of these assholes do, they change their origin story to justify themselves.

Just bought that book, and yeah. A lot of these guys are promised greatness, but don’t get it because they’re mediocre as fuck.
