It's almost as if DLC can be a good thing when done properly.

As much as some people don't like DLC you have to admit, when Nintendo do it, it's far from half-arsed.

*shrugs* I hear this from pretty much everyone, but season 2 was far and away my favorite season. They toned down the pacing and the violence and really got into the meat of the character development and interpersonal dynamics. Then everything went to hell in a hand basket in season 3 and never really returned.

Maybe just not announce titles until they're being actually worked on and not just visual promos.

I lean myself a little more on the feminist side of things (yes, I even think people like Anita Sarkeesian raise some very very valid points) in this whole fiasco but I'll be the first to say I sure as hell hope NOTHING controversial comes from FFXV's male cast. FF has had its fair share of strong female party members

Because it's made by teenagers. That's all you need to understand.

Just criticizing for criticizing's sakes is pretty shallow however. It would be a lot more cogent if it had more of a point to it and not because everyone has an opinion. Of course people do. People have all sorts of pet peeves that gets shown off in internet discourse. But it doesn't mean all criticism is convincing

If the designer/director believe that a female party character won't add anything to his game, then he should not feel guilty about doing that. Nobody needs to feel that they should follow a certain social ethics so that they are forced to add a token character in the game just to please entitled gamers.

Oh yes, the likes, they sustain me.

That was kind of lame. I was really hoping to see some actual gameplay and not just watching Noctis do a couple teleports while they show off some graphics.

I'm a fan of this image! Looks like a Asian boy band! They even have the guy who takes the shirt off!!!

Said everyone about every Final Fantasy game ever. Seriously, just get over it, stop thinking about the spiky hairdo, and imagine the game play.

Is it the hair? They're wearing pretty normal looking clothes, jackets, trousers/jeans, shirts, gloves, black shoes.

Yeeeah, the combat looks so basic so far. Honestly, it reminds me of Infinite Undiscovery (which I loved but ya know whatever). Are there even any magic users? Any playable female characters?

You know what I can't believe? There's actually more footage seen of FFXV than The Last Guardian now.

Cloud was totally an emotionally challenged toyboy, and the male protagonists in the sprite era were the same, except it was a little hard to convey in 16x32 pixels. Look at the official concept art and you'll see.

They look like 4 badasses fucking up giant monsters once they start fighting.

We established a good amount here, that one of the main characters appears to be royalty that is on the run, that he's running with friends whom are being painted as kidnappers, that there's a woman back in his royal life that he's concerned about, that there's evidence of an ancient megolithic/magical world that the

So you're saying the protagonist should look the protagonist of every western game?

My thoughts exactly. For me, getting excited about a new Final Fantasy game is like getting excited about a new Sonic the Hedgehog game. It's going to have to go far out of its way to prove its worth considering how tarnished the name is.
