It wasn’t Golden, but I bought Persona 4 on my way to the airport to deploy on my last deployment as a warm body. Almost 3 months of my deployment was spent doing fireguard for a dining facility, while it was closed. I had 10 hour days, where my only responsibility was a short 5 minute walk around every hour.

What do you mean System of a Down’s BYOB is not a party song!?!1!

So... uh... when do we develop the Earth Defense Force?

I legitimately spent like three minutes trying to figure out how to just get to comments so I could say the same.

The end of this week, we are going back to work on campus with the promise that ‘you’ll only see one student at a time’ and ‘we are trying to get plexiglass’ when we have been doing our job phenomenally well from home for the past few months, and are still two months away on-campus classes starting back up.

Yep.  I’m not even a massive fan of the game, it was just ‘okay’.  But Peebee was one of the bright spots for me, exactly as she is.

Or, why is my smithing so high again?  Where did all these daggers come from?

I’ll probably do my usual Skyrim cycle here soon.

I’ve liked almost all the iterations, but my favorite part about Assassin’s Creed in general was how it could be a sublime stealth puzzle where you could slowly depopulate an entire area without having to draw your sword.

To be honest, even without the pandemic... this is generally how I play games.

I was pretty sick (normal sick, low-grade fever etc.) a few weeks ago and it took everything I had to use a sick day because I kept telling myself, “Well, you can sit in front of a computer, you aren’t that sick.”

I’ve been settling into FF14 since a couple of weeks ago, and I’m finally at what is supposed to be the last mission in A Realm Reborn, so I’m looking forward to finishing up the first arc tonight, and a little hesitant because most people say that the worst part of the story is the connecting quests between the end

I really couldn’t stand that you are absolutely required to keep that one specific islander, and can’t just let it cycle to someone else.

I will find one episode of something on Youtube, and before I know it, it has played in the background all day and I’ve watched years of content from one creator.  Or, if I run out of content from 1 creator, I find that somehow Youtube thinks I want to listen to Jordan Peterson.

This is the real answer.  I do the same with calls for suspicious activity on my credit card.  I call the contact number the website provides.

Not to harsh your mellow, but I think it caps at 99,999 each month anyway?

I’m finally coming full circle back to FF14 after buying it at launch.  I’m just starting out, and I’m getting the hang of early gameplay.  I expect this weekend to be a bit of plowing through the story, and then looking for people to play with as I don’t really have an MMO circle of friends anymore.

Welcome Insterstate Managers is still my secret favorite album, and the pinnacle of the ‘this song got me to buy this album, but I love everything else on it more’.

I just moved back into a position that I left over a year ago, with better pay (because they couldn’t find anyone to work at what I left over).  The problem is my boss retired after I left, and the culture in the office shifted pretty hard.  I like the direction, but that also means there are a lot of little changes

Always a little cynical about the ‘best decision for the customer’ standpoint. More likely that they didn’t want their physical release copies to sit unpurchased on shelves in places that were forced to shut down as being non-essential.
