True, but what I was trying to get at is that in comparison there are many different models of phones running the latest version of Android, but they all have such different insides that you have no idea how well a game is going to run.

Exactly. That's the reason why I'm jealous of iOS games. I'm an Android fan, but it must be nice to have every app/game designed specifically for your device, so you know you're getting the optimum experience.
