You hit the nail on the head in your last paragraph. The pebble was definitely placed there.

Classic.
Oh man, that one made me lol. My personal comment of the day.
Hah, are you trying to bring that back? :P
Yeah, I've never seen kids have to do things like carry buckets of water or have extra cleaning duties. Even if it was the student who did something wrong, their parents would probably complain about their child being treated unfairly or something :/
Ehh.. it's a bit of both ;)
Yeah, that was what I was kinda referring to. In the case of one of their usual homeroom/other Japanese teachers, they would be all "Mom, stupid Mr./Mrs. So-and-so was being mean and picking on me today", whereas if I told them to stfu, they most likely realize that yes, they are doing something wrong, to the point…
I agree that Japanese parents can be extremely lenient, but the teachers also let the kids do basically whatever they want, because they have no power. They're in constant fear of backlash from parents, especially "monster parents", which I'm pretty sure Bashcraft talked about a couple years ago.
Because it is!
YES. I was just about to say it looks like Ys III. I beat that game soooo many times.
They sure do! I currently teach at a public high school in Tokyo. I always go to their keion club :)
They're buying the gold encrusted condor, which will lay the eggs you speak of.
Made me chuckle and shake my head at the same time, cause I would so not be surprised if it was, just to troll us all.
Oh, fuck. The X-termination comment was the best comment in this whole thread.
If you don't naturally feel offended, then why try to feel offended? Or think about if you should be or not? Just sit back and enjoy the experience.
Let me know if you ever need help picking something up. I've been in Tokyo for 7ish years now, and often buy stuff for friends (and especially myself) off Yahoo Japan Auctions. Way cheaper than the retro stores in Akihabara ;)
Out of allll the girls in Japan, it just so happens that a member of AKB48 (the most popular idol group in Japan) just happens to look like her? They look the same because they want them to look the same :P
While no one can really say whether it's going to be good or not until it comes out (please be awesome!), your comment is perfectly respectable. And I agree, a world with less 'miserable cunts' would be a better place.
If he's wondering why more people don't read the original comics... then he, himself is a pretty good example.
I have a pretty beefy PC that I use for my work (video editing), but I still prefer to play games on my PS3. They're just different gaming experiences. Some people love being able to tweak all sorts of settings to get the best graphical experience (or even just to get it to run), while others - me - enjoy just being…
