I wouldn't call it "marketing". Arcades here throw these mini-tournaments all the time, and all they do is put up little posters in their arcade and/or tweet about it. They're so common that I usually just think "Oh, another tournament!... meh." And the "prizes" usually aren't anything special anyway.

I'm not an iOS user, but I'm curious: what will the iOS version run on? I thought iOS devices didn't support Flash anymore?

I know, right? Like, I don't mind seeing some off topic videos, but I would give credit to whatever sister site posted it, not make it look like I found it myself :/

Plus fucking one. I lol'd.

I can't be the only one bothered by all the unneces's'ary apostrophe's after all the s's'.

Hmm I have plenty of Japanese college student friends, and I doubt even one of them would wanna live in one of these boxes :/

Been showing this guy's videos to friends all week. They're the funniest Japanese YouTube vids I've ever seen. The ending of the PET Bottle Lover video kills me.

Well, it could in Japan. When something catches on here, it seriously catches on.

Welcome to Japan, the land of Monster Hunter.

While the 3DS has a head start, MH4 on the Vita would be a huge help! Here (Japan), PSP = Monster Hunter. That's what basically everyone I see plays on it. There are a lot of people who love their PSP/MH but don't own a 3DS yet. They may or may not have been thinking of getting a 3DS to continue their beloved series,

Mmm, flames...

And what sad, sad people they are :(

The narrator sounds like Billy Bob Thornton!

Yep. That, and the guy explaining the steering/brake mechanisms kept looking slightly above the camera.. perhaps at the cameraman? I dunno, but it bothered me.

While I think your response was clever and funny, I just wanted to point out that a game is made up of many, many parts. It can have shitty writing and still be a pretty good game.

Only one way to find out! Go to your local Gamestop and ask if they have any used copies of Super Mario World 64 for Genesis.

Hah! Beat you. I'm 200cm :P

I've been here 6+ years now, and while like you I am completely immersed in the culture (95% of my friends are Japanese, I play in a Japanese band, etc), I went through pretty much all of the stages. "Not actually trying" doesn't really have much to do with going through these stages.

Good ear rape?
