I am a professional artist working for companies like Marvel, DC, Disney, plus others. In the US any drawing of a copy-written character that you sell is illegal. But the thing is most of these companies will look the other way as long as you are not mass producing the images.

This is why you can not base the strength of an economy off Wallstreet. Just because the market is doing well does not mean the average citizen is.
