Actually, if you READ this article’s title, it says ‘Google’, not ‘Google Search’. Your assumption does NOT mean I was wrong in my statement, merely that you read into the article something that was not stated. Since 2006 YouTube has been owned by Google (which now, happens to belong to Alphabet...not sure if YouTube

And the Hypocracy of the Day Award goes to Google, who as owner of YouTube, just lambasted most of their videos with a horrific right-side-bar pop-up at the end of a video you watch, so that it blocks almost every video control on the screen (full-frame, close extraneous comments, etc.). Maybe they need to resort to

I know I heckle Winjunk a lot, but being as this is the 2nd ‘MS Update-turned-malware-crash’ story in as many days, I can’t help but smile a little...only on the inside, of course. Like I always say, ‘Win 10 - the best advertising Linux could buy!’

You do realize, that if a non-manufacturer did this to your system, you’d label it ‘malware’, right? Just a thought to ponder, being as this is the SECOND Win 10 update, and BOTH have re-installed their ‘system-accessories’ when updating.

Windows 10 was the greatest promotion for Linux ever devised. After 30-years, it drove me to forevermore ditch Winjunk. Unlike MS software, I haven’t regretted the decision yet. There’s not one thing that MS does better, and Linux makes even ‘old systems’ perform better than most new ones that come loaded with Windows

So, in other words, ‘Stay home and drink more water’? Going to Appleby’s and not getting a steak and a beer is like going to the carnival and not riding the rides. Solidly defeats the purpose, don’t you think? (I was thinking ‘going to a bar, and not drinking’, but designated drivers DO have a place)

If I were only 30-years younger I would have proposed after reading this. Never forget the one fact, regardless of who says it, the way to a man’s heart IS through his stomach.

And thus, a moment of silence for all those who commented on these crappy hacks, and their comments were still not allowed by the editor.

A better place to ensure you are getting the most updated maps (and where Nat Geo gets their database from) is the USGS website itself. The downloads are free (while their printed maps are not). They are the same maps you pay $12-$15 for in the sporting stores nationwide.

I’m interested in testing their ‘theory’ when they ‘go-live’ with it, being as I took the domains of the three most popular ‘blockers’ and simply imported them into my firewall (back-up blocking, as it were). I highly doubt I’ll see FB pages any differently than I already do - a lot of white space, and no ads. I mean,

A hardware and software firewall, Anti-malware and cookie software, ghostery and a few other components, and a registry of ‘always block’ sites in my router, and I STILL get trash on public websites I go to. It’s like looking through Publishers Clearinghouse dailies for world news that’s relevant. No one will EVER do

Linksys, in my 30-years of router experience, have consistently been ‘the pretty routers that don’t work well, or survive long’. I’ve read tons of reviews from other users about how well they work, how great they are, but every single one I’ve ever purchased has died horribly within the first 2-years, and connectivity

It was only a matter of time until some ‘mega-provider’ cracked down on what the FCC would not. While it is in the FCC’s ‘best interest’ to not be ‘too harsh’ on spam callers (more universe to rule over is more power for the bureaucracy); it is ‘wasteful resource consumption’ for freeloading spammers to ride along on

Actually, with a 3.5mm headphone jack on the turntable (which is really all you need), you can plug in a simple FM Transmitter-Transceiver (like ASIN: B017LUBO1U ‘FM Transceiver by Geartist’, for $25). Then, just pair the Bluetooth Transceiver to your XXX (fill in the blank here, but I use mine for Audacity input to

Ok, now to go up in the attic and dig out all the pieces to that old 8-inch telescope...huge box, big spiders, few mice...but hey, a cool project is a cool project. I haven’t seen the eyepieces for it since 1998, but oh well...gotta be in there somewhere!

Lots of comments below beg the question, ‘if you are worried a lot about integration to MicroJunk Windows, then why are you using Linux? If you MUST integrate for work’s sake, then have a cheap PC at home to solely run Windows on. The stability trouble you often have is caused by trying to run dual systems

I’ve got a full set of Vollrath induction pans (about $475), but as for skillets, griddles and muffin-type trays, I will still only use one brand - Lodge Cast Iron. There is, at no price, a substitute for Cast Iron.

Nice little display. Of course, the ‘guts’ to put this into full-time use at your home, and even be a ‘live weather center’ for your area takes a bit of ‘kit’. Since I like the RPi (over the Arduino), here’s some Amazon kit numbers to build it like you want it:

I find it interesting how these fighters referenced, have chosen to stand against the ‘mainstream’, which our ‘mainstream’ world is not only ‘liberal-progressive’, but that this very root-structure is based on Eugenics, Discrimination (primarily against the poor, destitute, mentally-challenged, and non-white ethnics),

Actually, one of the biggest things I have found that absolutely CRUSH video performance is many of the cookies, trackers, and various (read: nefarious) bits of unwelcome code lurking on your system. While ‘reinstall’ is the famous battle cry, a much-better solution is to control ‘blocked-sites’ on your router.
