As someone who’s never been to the stadiums in person but watches online a LOT, I was under the impression those screens change to whatever champion the individual players have picked once the champions are picked.

The 3 out of 5 rule is only for Challenger teams coming into the league. They have to have enough of the team remaining once they start the LCS (to prevent a roster of ringers gain an lcs spot, and then replace the roster with whoever).

How about a compromise? Instead of the title being “These dudes won” it could be “Here are the results”.

They did set a record for most games for a Wild Card Region to win at Worlds, and if just one teamfight had gone slightly better against the Flash Wolves, they’d be moving on. Pretty crazy when you think about it.
