THANK YOU. The idea of tackling SW round-robin style (JUST , in fact, LIKE THE OT was) was the single most inspired idea they had for the ST. Especially when we - the audience / fans - can’t even agree among ourselves what makes good SW. (i, for one, dgaf about Rogue One / Andor) Instead, you get three accomplished

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: as someone who has gotten jaded in a public service field after more than two decades fighting the same battles and having every seeming win turn out to be a stage-setting for doing it all over again with different participants, TLJ was the first time I found the character

I still contend that, after losing Carrie Fisher, they should have tried to cobble together a CGI-d Leia performing the Holdo Maneuver instead. The movie was in post-production when she passed, and would have been a far more glorious send-off.

A lot of the complaints about this movie boil down to personal taste, but the one that always kills me is the laughable claim that it “ruins Luke’s character.”

There were plenty of reasons to subvert those expectations which all tie into the story the movie is telling. Luke’s whole arc is about disillusionment so he throws the lightsaber away. Ren’s arc is that he’s driven by irrational anger and resentment, not by any consistent ideology, so he kills his master Snoke. The

Honestly I think its a good thing in the end. Im in the minority who loved TLJ. But Rise killing the films is kind of a good thing. Let’s let SW rest for a bit and then come back with something fresh and new. Hell give us an old republic story or even something in the far future

The thing about TLJ that no one seems to notice is that Johnson basically gave the franchise a big exit at the end. Everything TFA set up is gone. The First Order has been effectively destroyed — their leader is dead, their main fleet (which was also their industrial center) is destroyed, their military braintrust is

It is so delicious to hear and write and come up with these scenes where people are just talking foul. And the violence is in your face and hardcore

Remember when Rick Perry couldn’t name the Dept of Energy as one of the three he’d get rid of if elected president, then when he became secretary of it, he had no idea what it even did? This was pre-Trump Insurrection though, so maybe those days are too bygone to remember.

I have no words, I hate this merger and I have that quality scripted shows are dumped while Discovery will surely make cheap blah reality programs, “fix my bathroom/my basement needs help”

I really think that the Warner Discovery merger has been the worst thing to happen to either company. I also think that the FCC and FTC majorly dropped the ball by allowing the merger. Of course I think all of the mega entertainment and News companies need to get broken up sooner rather than later.

Now where am I supposed ot get my Ophelia Lovibond fix?

Booster Gold. It’s actually a dramatized version of superhero Jerry Springer where Booster lets enemies and allies trash each other on stage while an audience cheers them on.

Jon and Damien.

Exactly what I was going to say. A Batman prestige show. The last time we had a Batman show on tv, it became a cultural touchstone that had reruns for decades and is still popular with people whose parents weren’t born when the show started.

Batman: The Series. Nuff said. No more pussyfooting around him. No Gotham, no Pennyworth, no Batwoman. Just give us what we want, Batman and his rogues gallery. Put it on HBO.

Actually I have confidence that she’ll do a good job. She’s smart enough to pick good people to work with, and you can’t deny that she’s creative.  Or you can, but you’d be wrong.

She should make a Star War.

As opposed to people like Martin Scorsese and Stephen Spielberg who work exclusively with amateurs who don’t know what they’re doing?

Y’know, it super fucking sucks that Ken Levine killed Irrational and put a ton of people out of work because he wanted a smaller, leaner studio to do something different than Bioshock, and then the first fucking game he makes with that new studio is Bioshock in all but name.
