soon to be followed by The Way of Earth, The Way of Fire, The Way of Air and culminating in, you guessed it, The Last Airbender.

It’s difficult to bet against Cameron since pretty much every project he’s been behind has had advance predictions of doom and gloom and turn to out to be blockbusters. I’m sure he’ll have some visual trickery that usually is pretty boundary pushing to get people into the seats. Honestly, I like Avatar mostly just for

WB failed how and when they launched Fantastic Beasts (should have been a series that launched HBOMax). At this point (though it may be too late)

I feel like in these recent months everyone has been saying that wicked only has 2-3 good songs - i think they only have 2-3 bad songs:

like the beastiality orgy?!

Aren’t the main characters in Wicked supposed to be like college-age or something? I don’t think we need another Dear Evan Hansen on our hands where the OG leads are playing characters they are now far too old to portray.

You know what fixes crime? Jobs. You know what provides more jobs? Taxing the super-rich and getting that money back into the economy to create jobs. “More cops” is solving the wrong problem.

Man, I hope the Rock isn’t playing the dad. I cannot think of anyone more wrong for the doofy, hapless dad then the Rock, who’s ego is so strong, he created an entire show about himself being perfect from age six and beyond

I have a real soft spot for the first Thor. I liked the Shakespearean emoting combined with the goofy stuff.

Yeah, I read that as “Thor is delusional about how much people love him.” That’s a pretty consistent characterization for him.

Give Valkyrie a beautiful ladyfriend. set up a mini series.

I thought the first Thor was pretty good. Chris looked stupid with his dyed beard, but generally the film was fun.

Warner needs to look at Jeph Loeb.

Not only does he have extensive Hollywood experience, he’s also written Eisner-winning Batman and Superman books, both of which capture the classic appeal of the characters.

He’s currently with Marvel Television, but once MODOK and Hit Monkey finish their runs, there doesn’t seem to be

I dunno if I can entirely hate any phenomenon that leads to less gushing about Tarantino from obnoxious rich boys.

Snyder specifically cared very deeply about his weird, murderous, Watchmen-y versions of them.  I dunno if they want to keep pushing forward with a guy who thinks the height of artistic directing is lots of slo-mo and a black and white version.

though Birds of Prey missed the mark

I have no idea who should be the spearhead, but it’d be nice if they could get at least some of the animated series/movies people in at least a consultant role.

“They also believe that projects like Todd Phillips’ Joker are a shining example of how second-billed characters from the DC library can and should be exploited (Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn was another opportunity, though Birds of Prey missed the mark).”

For god’s sake, he gave literal credit to Abrams (assuming Abrams came up with the title). That final shot, which still gives me chills, is the visual embodiment of the Force awakening, of it breaking free of birthrights. Nah, it’s about Skywalkers and Palpatines.

The Last Jedi wasn’t perfect, but he damn near saved the series after The Force Awakens. He knew where the story had to go and he pointed it in the right direction. And Abrams and company yanked on the wheel and flew it off a cliff.
