I feel like the question is less whether or not Texas deserves better but rather, will Texas vote for better? The track record is not great

I really like Hawthorne’s short stories over his novels. My teenaged sister has become a “book person” but only about a very specific YA author and it’s exhausting. Liking an author is not a personality trait! I’m hoping she grows out of it though.
