That's interesting. Considering it's symptoms, I wonder if it was some sort of brain infection.

OK. I tried to think of some clever snark with which to mock Mr. Wiseman, but this idea is just stupid. Just mouth-breathingly stupid.

I'm afraid I don't get this sort of fetishizing of books as objects — building a labyrinth out of books, carving them into sculptures and so on. A book is intended to be read, and you can't do that when you're using a book as a brick.

When did it become accepted that seasons begin on the equinoxes and solstices? Traditionally, seasons began — more or less — on the midpoints between these days. That's why the summer solstice was referred to as "midsummer night." I'm just curious when that started to change.
