There have been any number of scenes with what I would label as gratuitous sex or nudity. The two scenes that come immediately to mind from season 1 are the scene with Pycelle and the prostitute and, even more so, the scene where Daenerys bathes before meeting Kal Drogo. That might be true if it were more absurd than it was. Honestly, it was just sort of meh, like something from a film student who desperately wishes he were Joss Whedon. Absurdity doesn't really work in small quantities.
