Oh, if you like that, you should see them at Indigenous religious ceremonies or powwows.

I’ve heard that argument before! I still don’t get it! My mother used to say that courtesy greases the wheels of civilization. How can things run smoothly if people just run all over each other everywhere, all the time.
I started to accept the idea, some time ago, that some human beings think so differently from me, and other people I know, that they may as well be another species, and that it’s possible I might have more in common with the thoughts of whales and octopi, then some human beings.
Yeah, I’m gonna go with bad upbringing on this one. I’ve met white people who had manners, so I know they can posses them. I mean British people have them. I’ve seen it.

One of the most beautiful ways I’ve ever heard described about how people are taught to move through the world. Some of us are taught grace, others...are not.
Yeah, I’ve been wondering how men can claim to be the smartest, most intelligent, and rational beings on the planet, while simultaneously claiming to be the most clueless. This cluelessness only seems to magically appear when assessing their shirty behavior, though.
Well, I don’t know what the hell he gonna do with me then. I’m not married, don’t wanna be married, ain’t trying to get married, and never wanted to get married, but I’ve had plenty of men say to me that I “look” like the type of woman who is married. (I suspect they mean I look happy.)
I am literally :😂😭😂😭😂😭
She just happened to reach out at the right time when he was willing to listen, and respond, and get help. These situations don’t always end that way. Sometimes the abusers take the compassion very badly.
Well, I guess that slave chain around her neck is entirely appropriate then.
I can do you one better if we include women (and their periods) on this topic. Leaving “residue” and “detritus” in the ladies room, and not washing their hands ,either. That right there is a whole other level of biohazard and germ warfare.
Yes, I was waiting for this too. As a general rule, I make a point of not reading White reviewers critiques of Black narratives. I noticed they tend to either give such narratives lower marks, misunderstand, or miss the point of the story.
Yes, exactly. I noticed the rather passive and disingenuous answer that it is diversity that causes conflict, as if people and their choices, were not involved. Like diversity just showed up, and then suddenly, there was some conflict.
I hear you, cuz then you get called everything but a child of g-d, on social media, because you expect more from a relationship than just a d-ck!
I’m sorry! That reply was for dwaynesworld!
There’s a difference between telling jokes, and punching down. He admits he doesn’t no anything about being transgender so why is he talking about the subject at all? All he’s doing is reinforcing the nasty stereotypes about transgender people every time he opens his mouth about a subject he’s done next to know…
Of Sparrows and Curtain Rods
Yeah, that’s hard. I struggled with that too. I spend almost no time around white people now, but when I did, I really struggled with having a line beyond which they couldn’t cross, and wanting to be liked. We all do want to be like liked, though.. I wanted to liked and felt I had to compromise to be liked. Now I that…
For even the most liberal leaning White people:
