Rosenthal is on a tour right now promoting the book, and just this week I bought a ticket to see him in Nashville. I’m not actually on Netflix just this instant, although I’ve been meaning to re-up to see “Glass Onion,” and so I’ve got some catching up to do. What a terrific show; I’ve watched it since the PBS days.

I live in a small town, but it seems to be on Amazon in a variety of sizes and packages, and I just ordered a little canister. Looking forward to trying it!

Well, this being Arby’s, you can certainly add Horsey Sauce (and I did!)

I am not a regular Arby’s-goer, but I was killing time between two work events last night and wandered in to Arby’s, saw this on the menu board, and tried it. I liked it; as the reviewer implies, it’s not going to change the world, but it was a tasty sandwich, and something different. #bringbackpotatocakes

Well, yeah, that was exactly what I was saying. I understand that in this market they may be handled by the Coke bottler and in some other market they may be handled by the Pepsi bottler. I just meant they weren’t owned by Coke or Pepsi.

Does this mean the name is now available for Post cereals to use for a new product?

Just curious — are there any major chains that give their franchisees the option to choose one or the other?

Upvoted for the #bringbackpotatocakes hashtag.

Back when I was a teenager and the various sequels to the original “Planet of the Apes” were being released, I remember reading that they did three cuts of each (of the sequels, anyway) — one for the U.S. and most of the world, then a version with less violence for the U.K., because of that ratings system, and then an

I can confirm your explanation about Tennessee’s statistics. There was very little shutdown here during COVID-19 compared to some other parts of the country.

My small town has a Speedway — no 7-Eleven yet; they were trying to build one but could not get approval for underground gas tanks at that location. Since 7-Eleven bought Speedway, they’ve kept the Speedway name but have been working in 7-Eleven store brand products and trademarks (“Big Gulp, “Slurpee”). I’m

It’s an origin story for Ron Silver in “Heat Vision and Jack.”

Yep. Most people I know who are familiar with both just seem to like Costco better— and it’s hard to explain why. I have a SIL who works at Costco, but I think I’d prefer them even if I didn’t.

I have a jar, but have not tried it yet, of the new gravy from the Better Than Bouillon people. I am a faithful and regular user of Better Than Bouillon, so I have high hopes for Better Than Gravy.

I  strongly recommend the Fermented Hot Sauce Society group on Facebook -- be sure to check out the “files” tab, which has a wealth of good information. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2186993828252093

You do know the ALDI/Trader Joe’s connection, right? ALDI was founded in Germany. At one point, the two brothers who had built up the company split it between them — one brother got the northern half of Germany (and a list of potential countries for foreign expansion), while the other got the southern half (and a

I bought a bottle of hickory syrup from a vendor at the county fair this past summer, and it’s quite good. I was not taken completely by surprise, because I’d watched Adam Ragusea’s video about various types of tree syrup a month or two earlier:

Here, at least, you can get a regular-size hot dog with chili.

I used to order the Chicago dog frequently -- not being from Chicago, I have no idea how authentic it is/was, but I loved it. They stopped carrying it in my part of the country (rural Middle Tennessee).
