Yes, I think this movie was ginned up solely to draw Black people’s attention, and make us angry, because some White people have figured out there’s a whole-ass market for that now. Some things will get attention from White people just because got mad about it.

I think Stephen King did something like this in one of the chapters in his novel The Stand, where he chronicles the deaths of those who died after the Pandemic.

Throughout the history of this country White people have NEVER been right about whether or not racism existed or how. They were wrong about Black people’s lived experience during slavery, wrong about what life was like for us during the Civil Rights Era, wrong in the 80s during Reagan, and they’re still wrong today.
