Have you seen the live action Popeye movie, the one with Robin Williams in it? That’s pretty much the only way a One Piece live action adaptation could actually work.

Gundam seems like the only one I can see possibly working. At least if the mechs CGI is decent and the don’t just copy the original setting of the anime. One Piece? I don’t care if Oda is working on it that seems destined for failure at this point.

1. He made them cool. It’s not a coincidence that a bunch of them are doing the shift now, when it provides a huge bump to your stock value.

It’s not about being good, but being influential. And Musk’s companies did some pretty good stuff this year:

Not related, but this is an interesting read...

While there is a lot of theft at construction sites, it’s still way overboard to chase down and shoot anyone you see leaving one. It says a lot about these overzealous racist entitled fucks that they filmed the whole thing and turned the video in thinking it would exonerate them. I’m sure they probably still think of

It’s weird how this film, which I remember being pretty popular on it’s Netflix premiere, still seems sort of underrated? I’m sure there’s a couple basic thinkpiece theses in there, like how “streaming makes things disposable” or “theatrical exclusives make things feel important” or whatever, but I’m pretty sure like

Shaggiest and most rambling movie of his career?

I saw the picture of Mel Brooks and immediately thought it was an obit. Gonna need a lot of sleep to get over that panic attack.

This is legitimately great casting, and I’m more curious than I think I’ve ever been to watch a Hellraiser movie, most of which are just kind of ... dull and gross? But this seems like it could b—

The WHO’s “compulsive sexual behavior disorder” sound exactly like what people call sex addiction. And the part you quoted explicitly defines this disorder as not related to moral distress. So you’re undermining your own argument. Unless your point is that it isn’t technically an “addiction”, but that’s just

Geoffrey Holder or GTFO!

A great actor, and sadly the holder of the title for worst death in a James Bond movie.

*George R.R. Martin fans stomp into the thread, crying and bitching*

These very prolific writers are often writing multiple series at once, so they aren’t writing one novel a year, but they can’t write so many that they can publish in the same series more than once a year.

This is a bummer. As a former Vegas resident, I met Tony a couple times when Zappos was growing. He was always an incredibly kind and humble guy despite his success. His investment in improving downtown Vegas can’t be understated - it was a filthy, dangerous place prior and while his ultimate vision never really

Learning that Stacey Abrams was a romance writer during the first TV appearance I ever watched with her was all it took to convince me she was cool. Glad to hear the community is giving her the support she deserves.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a worthless nigger, Dark matter is fake, Atom bombs are fake, Bill Nye is a worthless nigger, the Moon Landing is fake, Viruses are fake, Buss Aldrin is a worthless nigger, Anthony Fauci is…”

I don’t disagree with you, but there are problems here. When crafting a super-hero story, you’re contending with an uneasy tension, because one of the things we like to ignore about super-hero stories is that vigilantism is wrong. Super-hero stories even end up making it the worst case scenario: they exist in a space
