I don’t get putting The Post in tenth place. It’s well-done but so dull especially compared to a truly lively historical Spielberg film like Lincoln. At one point seeing this, I saw everyone on my row had fallen asleep midway through right before I took a quick nap myself.

I liked the initial High Republic adult books, particularly the villains - the Nihil could have worked well in the SW films/TV shows. But I was bothered that: a. They launched this new series in a new timeline without wrapping up the first series’ stories b. The Jedi and Republic were perpetually doomed to failure in

That’s your loss - ambrosia is great.  And it’s nutritious because it’s a salad.

While The Woman King has only been a modest success on its 50 million budget, it was certainly a better investment than Amsterdam’s 80 million budget. I hope to see more films like it (The Woman King, not Amsterdam).

I actually really like the look of it from that image. It looks super colorful and bright (though the geography of Peach’s castle isn’t quite what I thought it would be from the games), which is exactly what I want from the film.

It’s beautiful to see Floridians and Californians brought together by a mutual love of Reese’s Cups.

I am kind of a fan of their website and I breathed a sigh of relief that it wasn’t Keith or Eugene (it would be odd if this headline referred to him). I’m fine with Ned being replaced though I’m puzzled as to why this should permanently derail his place in the group.

The big deal here is the statutory rape part when she was 15. I’m not sure why this piece doesn’t get more to the heart of it. It’s also not fully clear what the other two guys did but they probably were complicit in it early on.

Advance reviews on Amsterdam indicate that the movie’s not that good in spite of its amazing cast, so you probably wouldn’t be missing out.

While a sad necessity, the corgis must be buried with the Queen to join her mighty corgi ghost army.

I would like Cruise and Nicole Kidman to have a passive-agressive competition trying to out-do each other in ads promoting the movies.

This sounds like another entry in the weirdly specific horror/drama genre of zombies who come back and just hang around sorting out their personal issues.

Don’t give away the surprise ending!

I think it’s okay now to say that Xanadu is a fun movie - a lot of Twitter messages about her death today mention give it a shout-out. It has its flaws (a strong male lead would have helped so much!) but the music and dancing are good and that ONJ charisma helps sell it.

Oddly, I just read a popular tweet earlier this week suggesting a crossover with the idea being Quaid and Newsome appearing briefly in live action in SNW in a cameo (both resemble their animated characters) and then Lower Decks explaining how they got there.   I’m certainly down for any actual crossover for the two

Also while obviously most of the difference in their looks is that there are two actors involved, people tend to age a lot between their 50s and 60s.  It can be quite dramatic.

At least Inside Out and Soul had somewhat creative worlds in which the anthropomorphic creatures lived.  This one seems to just have them live in a human-type city with clothes.  Ugh, how can a studio that can be so creative at times also be so lazy?

While I think legalizing drugs would solve a lot of problems and may well have saved Miller’s life, giving someone a dangerous drug that kills them is going to be a crime no matter how U.S. drug policy develops. As with any industry, you are responsible for the product that you distribute!

I was wondering whether this was a habitual thing that he just got caught for or a sign of mental deterioration.  I guess it’s the former.

He’s not the best looker and he may be the young actor (he’s 33!) who’s aged the fastest into middle-aged character roles. But he has Kirsten Dunst’s love and he can play the types of roles he is getting now for decades to come, so I don’t feel too bad for him!
