Hello everyone, long time lurker, first time poster.
This is fucking incredible
When I was about 6ish/ 7 ( I am an old) I was allowed to take my birthday money and go to the college record store to buy a record. The college kids kind of steered me to a record with a picture of Queen Elizabeth on the cover instead of the Little Red Hen, and I liked the tiara so I unknowingly bought a Sex Pistols…
Job update: I didn’t get this one, either. It’s okay. My plan now is to spend the next year narrowing down what aspect of pharmacy interests me the most and doing whatever needs done to make myself an exceptional candidate for the position (additional coursework, certifications, etc.). I can also use the time to save…
I just, guys, I just read Barbra Streisand’s defence of Michael Jackson. “His sexual needs were his sexual needs”??? What? Just to be clear, she totally believes his victims, she just thinks it wasn’t so bad because it didn’t actually kill them. Maybe not every opinion is one to share, B.
Just relax and have fun with him. If it happens, it happens, and only the unhappy people will make the age gap A Thing.
GUYS. I had a date the other night. An actual, proper date. And it went so well!!! I’ve known him for a few years then finally got the courage to ask him out. We had a great night, I haven’t laughed that hard in forever! He’s brilliant, but there is just one teensy “problem” - he’s 9 years younger than me. Eeeeeekkk!!
Guesses anyone? I’m guessing that there’s plenty of smoke, but no major fires. Maybe enough for a congressional rebuke, but not enough to sink the administration. Plenty of very shady activity, but with just enough cover that someone with a vested interest in seeing innocence will see it assuming some major…
i want to read it from start to finish, but i know i’ll just skip to the end to see if trump dies.
That is incredibly flattering! I can’t thank you enough for the praise. And I really can’t take credit for that explanation about the ‘fruit of the poisonous tree’ doctrine--I’m an attorney, so I had the benefit of actually being instructed in it’s origin and functioning. Seriously though, than you again for the…
If you unknowingly buy a stolen car and the rightful owner subsequently comes to claim it, then should you lose both the car and the money you paid for it?
They didn’t earn their spot at their university, so I don’t think they should continue to hold that spot.
The “fruit of the poisonous tree” metaphor is used in criminal prosecutions when authorities discover a piece of evidence as the result of an unconstitutional or otherwise improper search or seizure. In that case, the principle is applied to benefit a very specific, very concrete person: the defendant, whose freedom…
Besides that, do we want “I was not aware crimes were committed on my behalf so we’re cool, right?” to be a thing?
I think their spot at that particular school should go to someone who earned their way in. If they’ve participated in classes and their grades are good enough, they can apply to other schools and transfer those credits.
Like any other kid, I think you have to believe their grades until you have proof otherwise.
If they’ve actively participated in classwork and didn’t know, I think schools should let them stay.
