Fun side note-The government came to our high schools and recruited people for a “secret” project. No body was told about it and no one could talk about it. Ten years later we found out that they built these machines. Tonopah was a ghost town until the government came in.

Interesting article. I just finished Hero Found about the VFA-32 pilots during Vietnam. This picture brings new perspective on the storage and operations. Thay flew the “Spatz” It is hard to picture those planes on the carrier USS Franklin.
