Good article! being a woman, some of them just ignore you when you tell them something-I wip out a picture of my charger and the fact it is my 4th car I have restored, they change their tune. I have been able to weed out the ppl I won’t deal with and pass this info on to others.

One thing that did catch on, locking front seats. 65 and older did not have them, I suffered a concussion when I was in the back seat and flew into the dash-I had a belt on (they did not lock either during a stop)

They don’t, I think they were playing with safety belts, Interesting my moms car is a 58 and had no seat belts.

Exactly, my key had a chip in it, so when I turned it over to the police, it proved how long I had my brakes on, and speed I was going before accident , so it told police what car was doing. I took tons of pics as well.

My last accident-not my fault, however if I was not there, the girl in the truck behind me would have ended up over a cliff and not with us today.

Some of the 70’s cars had the second belt on the headlinder-werid and no one ever used them-did fit right anyway.

I think because of the mandate of car seats.

Why should the NTHSA care, they have govt. jobs. HOW do we make them accountable, tired of all these mandates that inflate the price of a car, only to have the car turn around and kill you because of these mandate? ie the Takata airbags.

Thank you, I bet I won’t. All I can hope for are for future employees not to deal with this BS i’m going through. I do have a case. I don’t want money-just to be aware not to mess with employees-B/C we are not dumb and are tired of being pushed around.
