I’ve voted consistently for the last 19 years. Today for the first time I was asked for ID at my polling place. I live in CA. I do not need ID to vote.  I live in a hotly contested district. I wonder how many people walked away because they didn’t have ID and don’t know their rights.

My 5 year old is a macabre little weirdo too and seeing this gives me hope that I’m not the only bad parent in the world.
