She DEFINITELY deserves credit for renewing interest in the case. But the arrest ultimately came from a DNA hit on his daughter, so it’s not like she personally solved it or that this guy was even on her radar. It’s shitty of them to not admit her interest in the case sparked a broader interest in it.

Not necessarily. I dated a guy who liked dating women with children because he realized he was getting a little old to go through the whole dating/marriage/baby thing (he didn’t want to date a woman ten years younger than himself), but he still wanted kids in his life. Makes sense to me. Not creepy, just practical.
