Yes exactly. Shape of Water felt like something that was done 20 years ago. Get Out should have won, but the Academy is still too old and racist. I guess being a horror movie AND having social commentary about race is still a bit too much for them.

Frances McDormand won the fucking night. Sadly, not the jetski. And even if it was an obvious win, Coco is still so well deserved.

I’m less concerned with these white and Hispanic kids (I don’t know what race any of them identify as), and more concerned with how white “liberal” adults are falling all over themselves to support these kids while remaining sheepishly silent when black kids fight for liberation. The white liberal adults are the ones

I don’t think that Emma Gonzalez is trying to assimilate a la Marco Rubio.

If you’re implying what I think you are, please stop. I haven’t eaten dinner yet.

1. Rick Scott: “I want to make it virtually impossible for anyone who is a danger to themselves or others to use a gun.”

It’s a red herring. In most states, age limits on gun purchase are already in place. Where things get more fuzzy is that adults are allowed to purchase guns and gift them to minors (ostensibly for hunting); I very well could be mistaken but they do not seem to be touching on this aspect.

On the tails of Don, Jr. selling luxury apartments in India while giving political talks in contravention of all ethics regarding nepotism. One would think that with Mueller’s investigation proceeding apace, they might wish to tone down the associations, but, of course, no.

Ain’t no party like the Communist Party!

Rick Scott can’t run for governor again, and I get the feeling he isn’t going to try for the Senate this year with the Trump administration in such disarray, so he literally has no fucks to give about what his constituents think. He won’t let himself be put in any public shaming position that could be used against him

He thought he’d resurrect his presidential ambition by being the voice of reason in the GOP over gun control.

Honestly, I’m surprised Marco showed up. That dude has to be some kind of glutton for public humiliation.

“Child of mine! You lectured and ridiculed a US senator? Good for you! Let me take you out for ice cream. Wait, do you smoke weed? Let me take you out for weed, and then probably ice cream.”

Funny thing is that they were respectful. They just didn t let the adults weasle their way out of answers.

I didn’t realize how fucking delicious it would be to see Marco Rubio getting ripped a new one by his constituents, especially the teenage constituents. I literally swelled up with pride when watching them challenge him and Dana the gun lady face to face.

Fuck respecting adults! Jesus Christ, what the fuck is wrong with people?! That bullshit is always used to justify authoritarianism, ironically by the same people screaming about government overreach.

It was something to see. Normally, a student would have politely accepted the non-responses but these kids were throwing down and making Rubio and Dana Loesche squirm. (Loesche could not have been more condescending and looked really put out to have to explain that the real problem is with the “crazies” in this

I absolutely hate that argument because when you apply it to anything else, it reveals how absurd it is. Just because something could be obtained/done illegally doesn’t mean we shouldn’t bother taking action against them.
