(Slight spoilers, but not really!)
I’m still wondering when Die Antwoord will release a badly written statement that the Pokemon Company stole their image.
It is puzzling that you chose to use a specific mobile application as the main example, as if the fault lies with the software itself. Regardless of your intentions, it is rather misleading. You could have replaced every single mention of Pokemon Go with other actions such as “Buying a loaf of bread in the night”,…
OK, I can't relate to what it's like being black, because I am not. But this just seems crazy to me. If fellow citizens are afraid to play Pokémon, there's something wrong with that. Not sure what I am trying to get across, either this is an exaggeration or I am seriously underestimating what black people feel afraid…
Remember when I said one of the biggest draws for Colossalcon every year are the pool parties? Yeah, this is what I…
Im fine with cons hiring cosplayers for panels and whatnot - if they want them.
I still can’t fathom why Disney pulled the plug on this. They were CLOBBERING the other toys-as-games in the market other than maybe Amibo, but even so...
Is this what you’ve been waiting for? Well, here you go. Your Pokémon Sun and Moon Starters, Rowlet, Litten and…
I DEMAND A RECOUNT. NO ONE PUTS GLOOM IN THE CORNER.
Whomever’s hands it ends up in, I hope it looks as good as the “Train On” commercials.
I mean... it ‘Sorta’ happened? There was a live action musical thing years back?
I’m not, just because it’s kind of hard to visualize how it should look. If you do the ‘Mons too realistic, they risk not really looking like themselves anymore (and also hitting the Uncanny Valley pretty hard). Do them too cartoony, and it will look weird next to the live-action actors.
They are extremely careful with Pokemon. Being the second most profitable video game franchise ever after Mario, they don’t want to do something incredibly stupid.
I think the only way this movie would work for me if its done with animatronics (with CGI assistance) and has a Goonies/Stand By Me/ET kind of vibe. Give us a world that feels tangible and that the audience can get lost in. What will make this movie work best is to bring old fashioned Hollywood magic to it.
Actually, they would be a good pick. Why? The Speed Racer movie. Easily the best western live action anime/manga adaption.
I hope Warner Bros. gets it ...
