Excuse me?

The paid internships are my favorite bit.

The best part is that you know they thought this announcement was a huge flex, but now when anyone Googles their names among the top hits will be these articles about him being a cheater.

Well, in the event this guy is the type you’re looking for I’m guessing he might be back on the market soon.

For real. I was engaged in my 20s and my fiance broke it off because of his cold feet. He told his friends I was the one that ended it. You know how I found out? Because one of his g-d friends confronted me over it in the parking lot at the grocery store. I was so stunned I don’t think I even bothered to correct him.

When he was dropping out, I saw that his alternate plans were to enroll in college and join ROTC. So, choose your own sex offender adventure: government, campus, or military.

There are also forces in our society that continue to indoctrinate people into believing that men can’t and shouldn’t be held responsible for sexual misconduct. The notion that male predatory behavior is normal and women are the parties responsible for avoiding it is a particularly vile mainstay of evangelical beliefs.

“...a family man, already engaged...”

Finished Season 2 of Doom Patrol, which was overall great but ended very awkwardly because they couldn’t finish filming due to the pandemic. That and Umbrella Academy were the things I’d been looking forward to for the past several weeks, so I’m kind of at loose ends now.

Season 1 of UA had a *lot* of pacing problems. I just finished S2, which is much better in terms of pacing & developing some of the characters.

More Ben was on my wishlist from S1, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Allison plot line. I hadn’t liked her at all in S1, but she showed satisfying character growth. Luther and Vanya continue to be the least interesting of the siblings to me. It would be nice to see a more developed plot line for Luther in the

I think the point with The Handler is that *we* saw her with those supplies, but the Swede didn't. So it's inconsistent that the moment would appear in what seems to be his flashback.

This bit was so dumb, and yet I laughed so hard at it.

...Yes, I mentioned that point above.

Vanya needs the personality re-write, because really she had no personality in S1 beyond being sulky and insecure. It’s unfortunate that her character here is not representative of the entire season. She’s playful and assertive in this episode but still broken & sulky elsewhere despite not having memory of her baggage

The premise they’ve set up for Season 3 is intriguing. We know from the past 2 seasons that, if the Umbrella Academy siblings are failures, it’s in large part due to Reginald himself. He gave up on Vanya and started sedating her, which made her a time bomb, he turned Luther into a monster, it’s implied that Klaus

I actually didn’t mind that some of S2 was a re-tread of S1. What new content there was, was interesting. But also— this season was much better paced and fleshed out most of the characters more. Some of the more off-beat ways they paired off the siblings this time around (Allison and Klaus, Ben and Vanya, Five and

Justin H. Min consistently does more with his time on screen than most of the core/living siblings.

DH and I were having a disagreement over whether Reginald also knew/traveled to the future. It seemed to me that he could—or at least, he somehow knew of the oncoming apocalypse in S1—yet he doesn’t recognize any of his “kids.”

Allison having never mentioned her daughter to this point is a bit of a continuity issue, since she was mentioned about every episode in S1. But I don’t think the siblings each presumed the others were dead, but maybe just lost in time and/or space. There would be no reason to expect they would all have landed in
