Huh, the reaction I got from everyone that played it was between disappointed and underwhelmed

I keep trying this game and every time I run right into a wall of the worst dialogue any game has ever had. It’s just good guys dimwittedly explaining the simplest possible things to each other while occasionally saying inscrutable bullshit about hearts, and bad guys popping it say stuff like “Stay back, for we split…
I’ll be sure to watch this during the last third of an overseas flight four years from now.
The 2016 Ghostbusters movies has a lot of flaws but it was still more of a Ghostbusters movie then Afterlife was imho. This one looks exactly like Afterlife, pure fanboy crap that is painfully reverent to the source material without realizing it’s a silly comedy movie.
the comedy comes from seeing your favorite guys from comedy movies in a movie about fighting ghosts, also the art of the trailer has changed SLIGHTLY in the last 40 years.
JFC, do any of the “superfans” they’re clearly obsessed with chasing now remember that the original movie was a coke-fueled comedy?
I blame this reverential bullshit on kids who took the cartoons way too seriously for way too long.
Wheres the jokes and humor? They seemingly forget in these latest versions that this was a comedy series. This looks like all action, adventure, and Roland Emmerich style, city destroying without any sense of humor.
OH MAN THE OLD CAST IS OLD/DEAD AND THE DICKLESS GUY IS THE MAYOR NOW WOW!
Mustache is not compatible with shark
Maybe but this is a pre-release launch for only people who bought a premium version of the game, so its already a lower stress test then it would be on launch day. Not a great sign for this one
That was a good list of examples, but I'm not one to call the war on the single-payment license a good thing. To say I am wary of things like Xbox Game Pass is a huge understatement.
There’s something deeply ironic about you reading that response and saying “they always jump to calling you a nazi,” and being the one to actually bring that term into the conversation.
Yeah, it’s one thing to not give review codes to media outlets until launch. That happens a lot and usually doesn’t mean anything. However, not giving out review codes at all? That’s a giant red flag.
It’s probably a scaling issue that’s hard to reproduce in an internal setting. That’s why so many multiplayer games have server issues at launch. WB likely underestimated how many people would be playing SS during its “early access” window.
it’s just comedy
I’d say declaring “I’m a terf and proud” in the midst of seismic anti-trans laws denying basic human rights getting passed is advocating for something incredibly terrible, but hey that’s just me.
Chappelle had no part in Saturdays show - why should be be onstage during goodbyes/credits? There was no bow for him to take because he didn’t do shit. There was a time I liked Dave Chappelle and his work (knowing a little about how he grew up), there was a time I hated his work - but this is a time for not giving a…
He isn’t out there advocating for anything terrible, and he’s definitely a person who would not stand for actual harm being done to anyone.
The fact that nobody got preview copies or codes of this game is a giant red flag
RIP Rocksteady...
