Ugh, I’m sure it’s mandated or something, but these 40 slide slideshows are exhausting to even try to click through, even if I wanted to.
To be fair, none of it was interesting
Funny how you’re way too old to care this much about “console wars”
Being a decent person is incompatible with working for the Trump administration. Spicer was a buffoon behind the podium, but he was also a bootlicking yes man who, despite his brief tenure, did damage to this country.
The day after the election, I remember going into my office at the university even though I didn’t have office hours that day. I ended up sitting in our building’s staff lounge area with 4 others. None of us had to work in the office that day. We just couldn’t be alone. And yet, we just sat their silently, numb,…
Yep. I worked at the time with a bunch of international students, helping them through the writing of their dissertations. Within a week of Trump’s inauguration, I had three separate meetings with students where they cried because their parents had planned to come see them graduate, but their visas had been cancelled.…
For my money 1, 6, 4 and Jason Goes to Hell (hot take) are the best of the bunch. It’s really a 50/50 mixed bag of whether the movie are entertaining or not. But outside of the first one none of them are “good” from a critical standpoint but they are fun and entertaining which I think a lot of people forget a movie…

So wait, the Unite The Right gathering in mid-2017 wasn’t scary SCARY enough for you?
I said, ‘We are so fucked’.
People were openly crying on the sidewalks in Manhattan.
Oh good, I wasn’t the only one.
He issued that executive order messing with people’s visa status almost immediately after taking office. And nominated Gorsuch. But I guess there wasn't a pandemic yet.
Those days didn’t exist. The guy was selling indulgences before he even took office.
This was apparently in 2019, when it was approaching the end of his presidency. Spicer was (I think) his first press secretary, and he had gone through a few others by then.
Serious Question: how is this still on the air? Who could possibly be watching this?
Apparently it started in 2005?
Hollywood is not aligned with any ideology other than the one that maximizes profitability.
Right-wingers bedrock belief that Hollywood is liberal is easily disproved when Dancing With the Stars hired Spicer, The Masked Singer hired Roodles, and, most egregiously, SNL hired Trump to do episodes. Turns out entertainment companies are giant, multinational corporations that are more aligned with Republican…
