Agreed. If people dig cosmetics, cool, hey, fine.

It makes me remember that time in Star Wars where Luke was on the Death Star and opened up a chest and found a goatee to wear. I can understand why people might want to recreate that moment...

Jokes and all that but it would be much more unrealistic that there would be virtually no survivors at all, not to mention less fun. The Jedi were skilled and intelligent warriors, Order 66 would have never been able to take out everyone when there were thousands (hundreds of thousands?) scattered across the galaxy

Also, people regularly conflate “popular” with “good”. Good is relative.

All I ask for is a clear plastic poncho like the ones you get in theme parks when it rains or if you’re in the first few rows of a messy stage show.

A quick search on Youtube shows people talking about the game.

so did they ditch the Souls elements completely? I mean, I can really get behind that if they did. Jedi Survivor had incredibly shitty difficulty balancing because of the way it handled damage (enemies are damage sponges while you’re practically made of candy glass on anything above the easiest difficulty which was

It wasn’t supposed to be an “own”, just a fact based on the games design. I agree the backtracking was a major problem. But my point stands. Without the enemies respawning, it would have been even worse.

Look, I just want to wield a double-bladed purple lightsaber. I am a man of simple tastes.

well, considering they are reusing an engine designed to run on the WiiU, it’s almost wizardry that it runs at all.

I played Marvel’s Avengers when it came out, enjoyed the singleplayer, and then stalled hard on the endgame (even when I was a loyal player and the game had its largest playerbase) because it was super bland and repetitive.

But what was supposed to be the endgame content for GK? I played completely through GK as

Holy crap what makes game designers think I have any interest in pulling facial hair styles out of chests?  Cosmetic rewards are bullshit made by designers who couldn’t be assed to make numbers get bigger the right way.

I started Fallen Order a few weeks ago and these critiques of Survivor are exactly my critiques of FO. There’s no reason to bother exploring everywhere when all you earn is a new lightsaber part that doesn’t change any of the mechanics and you can’t see it anyway. The combat is fun so I like the game, but at this

I think ‘Order 66' meant that’s how many survived.

Nah, it just looks stupid, like every other “word” gamers come up with to describe a genre.

I played Fallen Order, and even I don’t remember any of the controls or what he could do.

I don’t think it’s a scam, so much as a feeling of necessity to start the game “fresh” and/or not intimidate new players.

Like 4 Jedi died in the “Great Jedi Purge” at this point. If you didn’t see them shot and die on screen, they’re alive, it seems.

The decision makes sense on paper, since it’s weird to have cops waving their guns at a kid and his alien friend...

It’s fairly logical, I think. If you want to get into Xbox exclusives and Game Pass, you’re able to do so via PC *or* an Xbox. So if you’re a PC gamer, why would you purchase an Xbox over a PS5 or Switch in most cases?
