I think they need to get him back for another go at Random Roles when he’s not on a promo tour, and there’s no PR flack gesticulating madly to him just out of Meredith’s field of vision.

Pretty much every CG Resident Evil movie has been objectively bad, but I watched them anyway. I am not expecting anything different with this movie

Absolutely one of the greatest actors who’s ever lived. That’s not hyperbole. The man is in everything, and yet every time he shows up in something he’s a goddamned delight. No joke, he should get a lifetime achievement award at the Oscars as soon as possible. How do we make this happen?

I appreciate how every random role Stephen Root discusses circles back to his current project, enough that I’m going to assume the few times we do not see it, those remarks were edited out.  That is some serious media training.

Oof, if Anderson, Neil Marshall and Staheski are your top three English speaking action directors, you need to see more action movies my friend.

I’m the guy who thinks the Resident Evil movies are pretty great. The scripts are silly, but the action is wonderful, with spatial clarity and witty choreography. Paul W.S. Anderson gets a lot of shit, but the only action director in the anglophone world who consistently eats his lunch is Chad Stahelski. Once upon a

Leon has looked like that in literally every appearance since 4

The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently.

every mcu property looks like the tv shows now. which is a compliment to the tv shows and a criticism of the movies.

You take that back! Brie Larson was magnificent in AV Club favourite Community!

Really torn as while I wasn’t looking forward to this movie at all, really liked the show and this trailer is a blast.

The original Mortal Kombat movies only flaw was its PG-13 rating.  I still contend that its a great adaption of the material(which is so very stupid) and a fun movie.   The one they made a few years ago, on the other hand, was clearly made by people REALLY into the source material but not really good at figuring out

This could also address the concerns over not having a story! Yes, please!

Ok Nintendo (And ...sigh... Square Enix). You know that a Mario movie can do well in theaters now. It’s time for the three-part trilogy of the Legend of the Seven Stars.

Wait if they re-investigate Discovery Warner merger, shouldn’t they re-investigate Disney Fox merger too?

I thought the reason was the poor reception of the live-action Mario movie.

The merger with AT&T never made any sense and shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

I don’t know if they were wrong to be cautious about it. They are an incredibly successful company without TV / movies. They make billions a year in profit and they maintain huge amounts of cash or cash equivalents which will help them stay afloat even if they have a decade plus of failures. Whatever share of profits

Prison Guard: On your feet, Zazlav! It’s prison movie night!

I mean... the time for that has passed. The merger with AT&T never made any sense and shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Warner Media can’t get back to what it was at this point — at least not without being its own company, which I don’t think is even possible (though I’d love to be wrong).
