Aw good for him.

I used to really like the show a lot and also cannot remember this character.

Same, very much not going out of my way to see it. But interested in the reviews and discourse.

A YouTube/Twitch thing could be pretty cool actually.

I too managed to avoid Paranormal Activities. They just look very uninteresting.

Yeah, haven’t seen it since theaters but I remember it being a pretty okay watch.

When we were in extreme Pandemic times I used their free version to marathon Saved by the Bell and that was a nice relief. So I”m glad they’re around.

Army of Darkness has pretty much always been my favorite Evil Dead. It’s just a big fun medieval adventure. It’s one of the movies that helped me get really into horror in the first place.

My problem with New Nightmare is it throws out a lot of interesting meta ideas: Freddy tormenting a movie set, Robert Englund facing off against his own character, John Saxon becoming his character, Nancy being sucked into the movie!

But then it mostly settles on being a boring creepy kid movie.

It’s always amazing when someone calls good movies unwatchable. Some of the reasons you give have nothing to do with the movie itself.

True story, I caught the end of Nightmare 1 on tv once and assumed it must be a later sequel because the end was so silly. Think that’s also a big reason why I’m okay with a lot of the movies going big and comedic.

I think it’s safe to say most celebrities and people in general aren’t exactly like their PR interviews.

Yes! Dream Child is my favorite Elm Street too. But really all the sequels are great for awesome creative effects.

Maybe it was a mix of all of those things. Bad script + not getting along with the director. But I also could see an Elf sequel being terrible incredibly likely. In the end we’re better off with it just being a single movie.

Wait for it to be on YouTube or read about it on opening weekend. You really don’t need to watch a nearly 3 hour movie for it.

You really don’t need gore for a horror movie.

What Poltergeist absolutely is a horror movie.

Yeah, the Incredible Hulk is a very okay superhero thing. Not sure what’s so terrible about it that people act like it’s the worst thing ever made.

He’s also great in Twin Peaks

It’s fine and good to criticize the biggest franchise in the world owned by a mega corporation.
