-I'm starting to root for Sy being the one to kill Varga in the end now. He's a good guy and friend that deserves to be able to save Emmit from evil clutches!! Also officially weary of Varga now. He's just popping up randomly and spewing random shit. Emmit and Ray's bumbling stupidity have brought about more conflict

Shit, so much good TV coming out!! The return of this and Whose Line is a good tag-in for Brooklyn 99 and Bob's Burgers on the comedy side of the spectrum

No probs, I think I've got a good enough idea now from the various responses

That's a strange thing to point out about my argument. I would probably not call anybody else stupid even if I ever met your standard of paragraph break knowledge. A fictional character though, wherein everything presented about them on-screen is forthrightly all we're suppose to know about them, I feel fine in doing

Oh I see, so it's all build-up to the actual battle that happens all at once. I was assuming it'd be a gradual, god vs god confrontations sprinkled throughout.

Not so much. There's no sense of finality to any of the action in Marvel movies, so it's mainly just cinematography/CG porn for me. For American Gods though, I am curious though if there's going to be any actual combat and or gods taking on ethereal like transformations. I guess the closest comparison I can make is

Definitely wasn't remembering that one. I thought he did fine, but not anything any other actor with a "fat, funny friend" vibe couldn't pull off
I am still in a state of wtf at him being straight-up murdered in that one Transformers movie without even the slightest attempt at emotional reactions from the other

Past TWO episodes, much to my disdain

Wording was a bit weird, but I think he was indeed referring to what happened at Tech Crunch
"us" as in parties involved I guess

While I'm enjoying every episode enough, am I right in feeling like the show has yet to really kick it into gear?
Can any book readers offer a feel of what the actual showdown between the two team of gods will be like? Are there any actual physical altercations or is it going to be more of a dramatic-strategic game

Same, but when he fell to the ground, I was expecting at least some blood on his face from the shattered glass on the ground. That's just plain lucky!

Possibly, but losing Erlich makes the show a good chunk less funny
He and Gavin were hilarious caricatures

That's a real bummer. I honestly can't enjoy T.J. Miller in anything (even a short and simple talk show interview) beyond his role in Silicon Valley, and his character is actually a really vital part of the show overall.

Yeah, they should totally base the story they want to tell on the tenuous connection with another franchise also starring Reeves and having mythology… Definitely don't continue and make the next iteration bank twice as much as the prior with just as good-if not better, reviews…

I thought it was to build a rapport with him at first, but then he essentially came in just to tell him to fuck off

Overall not as good as previous seasons. But I think it beats season one in some respects, main characters have more personality IMO. Episodes do get better after the first two as well. The Twin Peaks-esque episode is one of my favorite episodes among the entire show, although some people in the comments felt the

Would probably prefer this route, just to give the finale an actual tone of victory for Gloria whenif Varga dies, because then the whole "organization" would end with him. Otherwise, they'd have to do something like tenuously connect the organization with some of the lore from S2 to make it feel satisfying.

(in my best Sy voice, which still isn't that good at all) "…… .What?!"

I think he would've preferred putting a bullet in Varga's head when they were staking them out, if he was capable of it

True, but at that point we were still liable to believe Varga was some supernatural entity capable of even manipulating internet search results. Now we see that his immediate reaction to meeting someone for the first time is Facebook stalking them like everyone else.
