The bar scene though…
I like how you didn't even say anything to lead into that embed of the Rick and Morty clip. It was definitely the first thing I thought of when I read the headline to the article.
Not certain, but I think the whole "more than one master" thing they were going for is that it's not like he has full allegiance to either side and is informing them about every single thing.
I'd say this finale is a good litmus test for if you should keep watching the show onto season 2 and its entirety, but if you didn't like the episodes before it enough to get to it IDK
He actually did kind of "dump" her. You're forgetting the scene where she came to that ex-brothel place enthusiastic about starting a new life with him, and he pretty surprisingly rejects her. My guess is that he was weary that someone/something else had done that spiritual communication thingamajig with her and told…
I actually prefer it this way. I wasn't really seeing any possibility for a real barn-burning of an ending for this season, so the only way the show can make use of the good elements it has established and reach that potential is to get another season. London was a good setting but I'm pretty excited for them setting…
I reckon it's suppose to loosely encapsulate the incest, the crimes against humanity in James' backstory, perhaps betraying one's King and country, and the vague magic he can Ta-do.
It's funny that you mention that because a prevalent thought I had by the end of the episode is how the heck Brace got home safely when he was mixed in with that entire group deemed as traitors (and IIRC the last shot of him before being home-free was even him wielding two firearms).
Wow, I really liked that finale.
Wasn't aware of that but still feel my personal experience is pure.
Watched it the week or so it came out without any hype/expectations whatsoever and having not liked the first X-Men trilogy at all and was very entertained (give it a B or B+).
Went to see Days of Future Past when it came out with hype specifically…
I know this is something anyone could probably make happen for their birthday party or something, but damn, they had people from In-N-Out handing out burgers at the Oscars?!
Not really a fan of any of the cinematic X-Men adaptations (except for First Class) so far, but the tone of this one based on the promotional material I've seen gives off the presence of a really self-established film that I wish most-if not all, superhero movies would/could pull off. Will check it out eventually and…
Congrats on the job!!
AV Club, you literally just wrote an article based on a tweet from a Buzzfeed editor who bursts into caps lock and typos, so there's kind of an irony to the original content claim here.
I like the show overall and especially enjoyed this episode for whatever reasons.
Not sure if it'll ever actually happen but talks about them sailing to the New World got me pretty darn excited.
The poignant last line and official coining of his catchphrase was great.
What was the indication that she somehow knew? Seemed like they were going for her buying the lie.
"Oh shit! Jesus, is that you?!"
That's not really that big a deal and doesn't necessarily mean she's someone who rejects all criticism whatsoever. Maybe she gets enough of it in real life and or on other platforms. Twitter by design certainly doesn't make constructive criticism the go-to kind with its 140 character limit.
Show has been thoroughly entertaining since its premiere IMO, at least a solid B grade every week if it continues on like this (could very well do without the incest relationship angle though). Not sure why there's so much critique towards the "secrets it keeps withholding"/how much of an uneventful slow-burn it is.…
Daryl and Rick hugging is the most affecting thing that's happened in weeks (months?). Despite that overall scene being very corny. Overall overall, the episode at the very least was entertaining and among the season's best, but I agree with the people saying it should've happened weeks ago.
