Here’s a really important one: If you are late, it’s probably your own fault. Don’t take it out on everyone else.

Very rarely are you late because of a cyclist, pedestrian or slow moving traffic. You are late because you waited until the last minute to leave and expected perfect conditions on the road. So now, you are

you need way more stars. id vote for you if you ran for president

If you don’t look at your phone while crossing the street, it won’t generate any revenue.

Victim less? Not sure it’s victim less when some idiot looking at his phone instead of his way walks into an intersection and smack into someone else life.

I recently watched a dude walk into traffic on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago during rush hour to get away from an argument with his girlfriend. After launching himself into the street from behind a parked delivery van, he proceeded to walk with his back to traffic while looking at his phone and/or texting and

Now playing

Another reason not to text while walking.

wtf does that have to do with anything you fucking clown.

I bet you’re lots of fun at parties. I COULD have provided soda.. but nah.. I’ll put that in my retirement fund.. Tap water for everyone.. no ice.. takes energy to make.

No, moron. The light turning on alerts him that there’s a tornado warning, in case he doesn’t have his TV or radio on.

Stop having fun and enjoying the future! In their day they went to school uphill in the snow BOTH WAYS! Nevermind that when they tell you to get off their yard, they’re complaining about the inside of your home lol

Our smart home upgrades are, thus far, fairly minimal: a Nest Thermostat, a set of Philips Hue lights for our media area, and an Echo Dot for voice control.

Ahh the dreaded “Damn I’m so tired but damn lights are still on”. I might move to Phillips Hue/Alexa just for this!

I’m telling you, when you’re cold and don’t want to get out from under the blanket, being able to raise the temperature with your voice is amazing.

I love knowing when anyone (usually the mailman) opens the mailbox, so fruitless trips to the mailbox are avoided. I love being alerted instantly when the washing machine is done and the dryer has stopped. I love the lights turning on/off automatically (using motion detectors) as I move about the house, garage, and

You can now get one of those “overpriced” Nest thermostats for $69 and it integrates with Alexa

Most of the time, it’s not. However, I like that Nest would tell me my usage for the month, compared to last year. I also liked being able to turn on/off the HVAC when I was away, if I had forgotten. If we had been on vacation for a week in the middle of July, being able to turn the A/C back on when we were a few

I like to bark out commands for Alexa to do things for me, such as turn on/off the lights, turn on the tv, cool the house temperature, run the sprinklers, etc.... It’s fun! I can also check on things in my house with cameras, locks, alarms, etc...

I use a google home with my smart lightbulbs and it is the best part of my night. turning off all the lights in my apartment in one command from my bed is a beautiful convenience. My apartment building is 100 years old and this let me avoid adding expensive wires needed to add a convenient light switch. I don’t know

For those of you coming here to get on a soapbox to say how much smart homes are useless, good for you I guess?
