I work with a 30 yo woman who dates a 60 yo man, she went after him because she likes men much older. he is not loaded and they seem to be truly in love. I am 45 and my daughter is 25 so I to me it is just weird (shudder) but hey, to each his own.

I mean yes definitely sexist weird b.s., and... there’s a healthy dose of culturally learned disgust, too. Which is more apparent when it’s a same-sex couple (see also Holland Taylor and Sarah Paulson).

So what? No, really. Who does that hurt? No one. They’ve been together for more than 15 years. Something real is there. It’s not for us to say that’s wrong. It’s not wrong. It’s just not what we personally might do.

And? That's still really young compared to a 70 year old. It's creepy, just cause it isn't illegal doesn't make it right.

I guess my problem is the age old (tee hee) preference of men for women that are decades younger. It’s the whole “women are ornamental, so it doesn’t matter if there are any personality or maturity differences” issue.

ugh so late last night I learned that my boyfriend (OF THREE YEARS) has never seen this movie. Turns out there are SO many great children’s movies he hasn’t seen, so I made a list. He will watch all of them if I have to pry his eyes open:

This exceeds Halloween-style creepy stuff to me. This sounds genuinely menacing. I found myself hoping an accomplished murderer was just trolling everyone by writing that.

A fifty year age difference is creepy. Everyone is tripping over themselves to be accepting because he chose to prey on a young man instead of a woman, but if he were marrying a woman everyone would be calling her a gold digger. I don't dig it.
